Anyone going to look for wild mushrooms should take along a friendly Russian (if you're lucky enough know one). Russians are experts at fungi identification, because they all grow up foraging for wild mushrooms. It's a national obsession. Small children ID even the rarest of fungi with 100% accuracy.
